Winter Storm Resources

Team HCDP hopes you and those you love are on the road to recovery after the recent winter storms. The last couple weeks have been rough, and some are still struggling. But we Texans are resilient, and we help each other get through tough times. HCDP is here to help however we can.

HCDP Dine-With-A-Dem Fundraiser Update

Dine with a Dem Cancelled

Thank you for your ongoing support for the Harris County Democratic Party. Due to the catastrophic damage caused by the recent Winter Storm we cannot, in good conscience, go forward with our February 27, 2021 Dine-With-A-Dem fundraiser.

Far too many people are still struggling with home damage, food scarcity, and water issues, including our own team, therefore we decided it is best that we cancel this event.

Though it’s true that our February 27th event will no longer take place in the way that we intended, we continue to work towards winning in 2022 including:

  • Hosting grassroot trainings for precinct chairs and Dem volunteers
  • Fostering new leaders in preparation for the 2022 Midterm Elections
  • Maintaining our team that has been together for since the 2018 historic midterms
  • Providing community assistance in 5th Ward

Our team is currently partnered with Democratic Elected Officials to organize food and water distribution drives in the communities most impacted. Stay tuned for more information!

Kandice Webber Words That Inspire

Black Lives Matter Houston lead organizer, Kandice Webber joins HCDP's Savannah Charles for a candid sit down conversation in our Black History Month-Words that Inspire Series. As we work to recover this week after last week's devastating weather crisis, her words of inspiration are a welcome reminder of how powerful we are when we come together!

Thank you to our leaders and future leaders and to all those who stand with us in our journey towards winning back Our America!

New Date - We Run The World!

New Date We Run the World 2021

In light of last week's winter storm, we have postponed We Run the World to Friday, April 16, 2021 at 6:30 PM.

We hope that this extra time will help all of our members to recover and repair what was damaged.

We remain committed to highlighting the amazing women that live amongst us and raising the funds needed to register women and first-time voters all over Harris County.

Your support will help us catapult our strategy of registering women voters and first-time voters, help keep our progressive candidates in office and help new candidates flip the seats we need to Turn Texas Blue.

Become a part of this exciting event and let’s show 'em that We Run The World!

Houston One of Five U.S. Cities Chosen as FEMA 'Super' Vaccination Sites

Houston FEMA Vaccination Site

Thanks to our local Democratic Elected Officials, a massive COVID-19 vaccination clinic at NRG Park, which has begun in earnest Wednesday morning, is poised to serve 6,000 people per day in Houston.

"People deserve some good news, some hope," Judge Lina Hidalgo said. "This site marks the biggest effort to date to get our community vaccinated."

The City of Houston and Harris County have each identified the zip codes hardest hit by #COVID19. If you live in one of the zip codes mentioned in the graphic above, join the COVID-19 vaccine waitlist. Sign up using the link below or call (832) 927-8787.
