HCDP's Odus Evbagharu talks to KPRC-2's Sabirah Rayford about Beto O'Rourke's announcement that he is running for Texas Governor. O'Rourke can bring Texans together.

"Beto's sparking a fire for Democrats; there's excitement," Evbagharu said. "We've got to stick to the issues that are going to directly impact people's lives. Beto's going to be a great example of that but we're going to have a bunch of candidates up and down the ballot to demonstrate this."

County Executive Committee Meeting Notice:
Tuesday, December 14, 2021
7:00 P.M.
Zoom

Precinct chairs are encouraged to attend this County Executive Committee (CEC) meeting for the purposes of:

  • Consideration of reports from Standing Committees
  • Hearing an update from the Harris County Democratic Party Chair
  • Such other business as may come before the meeting

The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom for elected HCDP Precinct Chairs only. It will be live streamed on the Harris County Democratic Party's YouTube page for the general public.

VAN Announcements From TDP

New districts for the 2022 election cycle are now visible in Texas VAN. These are the office types that we have new district lines for in VAN:

  • Congressional
  • State Senate
  • State House

We hope to have district lines for State Board of Elections, Court of Appeals, and county-level races in VAN in the next few weeks.

Watch for more detailed information to be posted in the HCDP Precinct Chair Facebook group and on the Precinct Chair Portal.
