HCDP Announces New Executive Director
Former Legislative Director Kylie McNaught Named to Position
Kylie McNaught has been appointed Executive Director for the Harris County Democratic Party. She joins the team from her former role as legislative director for Texas Rep. Jon Rosenthal where she performed policy analysis and helped work on legislative agenda items.
McNaught brings to HCDP almost a decade of experience in politics and advocacy, with previous work in campaign management, grassroots organizing, volunteer management and support education.
"Kylie has a deep understanding of Democratic politics and organizing, and we are excited to have her on board," said HCDP Chair Odus Evbagharu.
"I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Harris County Democratic Party, and I look forward to building on the successes of the previous party directors," said McNaught, who officially started on Nov. 1.
McNaught is a graduate of the University of Houston. She is a board member for Clinic Access Support Network (CASN), an organization in Houston that provides transportation, lodging, child care assistance, compassionate care, and occasional procedure funding to patients.
She has an extensive campaign background, with previous work as field director for John Rosenthal for Texas, deputy campaign manager for Eliz Markowiz for Texas and field manager for Beto O’Rourke for Senate.
