Drive-thru voting locations have been limited to the Toyota Center location only. Drive-thru voters should enter the Toyota Tundra Garage at the intersection of Leeland & Crawford Street.

Note: Drive-Thru Voting is different from Curbside Voting. Curbside is at every location and should be reserved for voters with disabilities. If you have questions or concerns, call 713-755-6965.



The Vote by Mail application deadline is Oct. 23. The Harris County Clerk’s Office must receive (not just postmarked) your application by October 23 in order to send you a mail ballot for the November General Election. More details are available in the Vote-By-Mail FAQ.

Get those mail-in ballots in the post early. Ballots mailed by the United States Postal Service must be postmarked by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on November 4 (the day after Election Day). Rideshare2vote.com is an organization that is offering free rides to the polls, with sensible, COVID-19 conscious protocols in place for both drivers and voters. Their early voting operations begin on Oct. 13.

Lyft is offering a free (up to $15) ride to drop off your ballot at NRG Arena using code HOUVOTE. NOTE: Within Houston city limits. The credit is one way only. Details: https://lyft.com/invite/HOUVOTE. On Election Day, Lyft will have 50 percent off one ride up to $10 to any polling location or dropbox using the promo code 2020VOTE.

Houston METRO will be providing free round-trip rides to polling stations during the early voting period and on Election Day. Rides are available on Oct. 17, Oct. 24, weekdays Oct. 26 -29 and on Election Day, Nov. 3. This includes all METRO local bus, light-rail and METROLift paratransit services. If you have questions call customer service at 713-635-4000. Spanish speakers are available.

Uber is offering discounted rides to and from polling stations. On Election Day, users can access a 50 percent roundtrip discount using the poll-finding feature inside the app. That deal maxes out at $7 or up to $14 for the two trips. The discounts will be automatically applied when you request your ride by using the polling finder. It applies on all ride options, including bikes and scooters.
