Help Texans living ABROAD to Vote!

Help mobilize Texas voters living outside of the U.S.

  • Do you have friends, family, colleagues, or old classmates who lived in Texas prior to moving abroad? 

  • Do you know someone who was born in Texas and then moved to another country?

  • Do you know any dual citizens?

  • Do you know any students studying abroad?

  • Is someone you know currently stationed overseas in the military?

If so, please connect them with Democrats Abroad and Texans Abroad to help turn out the overseas vote! Most Americans living outside of the US don’t know they are allowed to vote or are not sure how. Dems Abroad is here to help!

Especially relevant for Texas is the population of dual citizens living along the Mexican border. Please share our Spanish language resources to help mobilize voters!

Are you a Texan living outside the United States? 

​

Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party arm for the nine million Americans who live outside the United States, and members reside in more than 200 countries around the world! The Texans Abroad State Team advocates for the interests of Texans living across the globe. 

​

Voters living outside the U.S. include:

  • Active service members, veterans and their families 

  • Civilians living abroad for work, school or family reasons 

  • U.S./Dual citizens born abroad who have never resided in Texas 

​

In 2020, there were nearly 90K Texans registered to vote from outside the country. There is enormous potential for registering new voters, because overseas voter participation is substantially lower than that of in-state voters due to a number of factors, including a range of obstacles to voting and a general lack of information about how to vote from abroad. 

Fortunately, Democrats Abroad is here to help overseas voters navigate the process of registering to vote, receiving their ballots and ensuring they are returned on time and counted.
